Medal Madness at Harrogate DSC Open Meet

A group of Mansfield swimmers enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Harrogate at our targeted open meet. Harrogate District Swimming Club host a couple of meets a year and this was their Spa Meet. The meet took place in the recently refurbished Harrogate Leisure & Wellness Centre which was a fantastic 8x25m venue.

We had 15 swimmers across the day and a half meet and from their 86 swims there were a whopping 53 PB's.

Every swimmer that travelled was rewarded with at least one medal which was an excellent stat! In total Mansfield brought back 65 medals and we won 1st, 2nd and 3rd in a number of events to create a fully blue and yellow podium!

Not only was it a great weekend for medals but Fox continued her assault on the 9 year old female club records. Fox set another 3 records, one of which she already held. These records were in the 100 Breaststroke, 50 Fly and 200IM.

Outside of the pool we had fantastic team spirit, a great poolside team and support which could probably have been heard from Mansfield!
